Princess Estella Lyndon
Though later than initially intended due to the princess nearly falling and splitting her skull while tearing her dress, Estella was finally approaching the school her father chose to send her to. As soon as the flower covered carriage arrived at the school, it was clear that that the coachman knew the princess quite well, for once he had brought the horses to a full stop he quickly went to help the princess while the footman gathered her luggage to take inside. He made sure to grab ahold of her and carefully help her from the carriage so she would not fall. The princess was wearing a nice green dress, and though she could have worn a tiara on her first day, she chose to wear a daisy crown instead. After all, she wouldn’t want to risk breaking a tiara on her first day. Estella sweetly said goodbye to the coachman she had known since she was a young child, before the death of her mother even, then said a soft farewell to the horses before carefully walking into the school. This would be a very new experience for Estella, and if she was lucky a chance to show that she was capable of more than her kingdom and father thought. Though she knew that her only chance to ever show that she could be a good queen, was likely if she married into the throne somewhere. If that was what came of all this, she would make the most of it, plus her father would likely welcome the opportunity for an alliance through marriage. As she walked up, she was in awe of the grandeur of the school. Though she was used to grand buildings as a princess, the school was still quite different from what she was used to, since in Rhytora most buildings had various plants growing on the walls, and some buildings even had trees growing within them. She was unaccustomed to how the world was beyond her kingdom, having only read about a few other kingdoms, and with the last time she was even beyond the borders of her kingdom she was just a young child. Estella walked up the front steps of the school, and nearly tripped over her own feet, which brought her attention to a girl ahead of her wearing armor with a sword at her side. Estella looked her over, likely with a perplexed look upon her face. She had only ever seen men handle a blade, or even wear armor for that matter. “Are you a soldier? Or do you wear armor and a weapon just because it is interesting?”
A carriage pulled up to the front of the school. Inside was Sebastian, a young man who would officially claim his father’s title any day. Sebastian truly expected that within a few days he would receive word of his father’s death. His father had been fairing worse by the day. Sebastian had mixed emotions about coming to this academy. A part of him wished to be by his father’s side, while another was relieved to have some space away from home, yet he did fear that though the great distance from home, his secret would still get back to them somehow. Because with the introduction of new individuals from other kingdoms, he could meet some who would make it much harder to ignore his own desires. He just had to hope that he could ignore temptation as he began to acquaint himself with the layout of the school. He couldn’t afford to be a disgrace to his family. He would lose them all, and it would force his sister down a path with only a single option. He couldn’t handle forcing her into a life she wouldn’t want, which meant that he had to keep up with the high expectations his parents set for him for as long as he could.
