and Gemma Romano
I don’t imagine most would feel lucky to speak with a girl like me. “I do.” I say with a reassuring smile, trying to make her feel better. I didn’t really agree with the caste system that we have, but it is tradition, and there isn’t really much I can do about it.
Hopefully for everyone’s sake, and especially yours, the rest of us are all genuine. “Yeah hopefully.” I say this with a laugh, trying to hide how nervous I am about this. Most of the girls have seemed very kind and authentic, but I really don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, which worries me. I focus back on Gemma, who is telling me about what she likes to do.
I do like listening to music, reading, and any type of theatre, but I don’t get much time for it. “Do you have a favorite book? I’ve grown a love of reading considering there is not much else to do, I was wondering if I’ve maybe read it.”
What sort of things do you do whenever you have time free, or well what would you rather do or where would you rather be right now? “Well, I enjoy archery, reading, chess, and different types of puzzle games.”
and Destiny Harthbrooke
I watch as a beautiful girl walks over shyly, wearing a green button up dress and a cardigan. Her outfit was much more casual than the other girls, but she seemed like a sweet girl. She stuttered as she introduced herself, and I could tell she was a bit nervous. “Please, call me Austen.” I say, trying to let her know that there was no need for the formalities.
How are you? Are you okay? “Well, this whole situation is a bit new to me, but I guess I am doing alright. What about you? How are you feeling?”
She started bombarding me with questions all of a sudden which was quite cute. One minute she was talking about flowers, then the Wizard of Oz, and then animals. I laughed “Woah, slow down there, I can only answer one at a time.” I say smiling. "I don’t really have a favorite flower, but I suppose daisies are nice. I’ve read the Wizard of Oz, but I haven’t actually seen the film before. And I also like Foxes, they are very cunning and smart."I decide to skip over the question about friends, hoping it wouldn’t come back up again. It has been very lonely growing up in the palace, so I couldn’t really say I had many. “Does that answer your questions?” I say jokingly. “So tell me about yourself, what do you like to do in your free time?”
and Anagene Wellington
Do you know how to ride? “Well, I used to ride quite a bit as a kid, but it’s been a while since I’ve last ridden. However, maybe we could go out riding sometime.” I say smiling.
I listen as she tells me all about her embarrassing first crush experience, and I burst out laughing. “I’m sorry, that’s just so unfortunately funny. I would love to have read that poem though.” I say jokingly.
What’s your deepest, darkest fear? “Hmm, I’m not quite sure. I’ve never really liked clowns all too much, and I’m also a bit claustrophobic. What is yours?”
and Jasmine Gold
I listen as Jasmine describes the qualities she looks for in a partner, and I see her start to tear up. I feel bad that my question probably brought up some bad memories. I debate wether or not to bring it up, but I decide to just ignore it.
What is the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done or would like to do? “I’m not quite sure about that one. I would like to maybe do one of those road trips across the country, to really see each province. What about you?”
@Skyler2 - how on earth do you do this so well
